Cap casting(s)?, Scott Pilgrim, and Iron Man’s moving in today’s geek news.

MOVIE NEWS

Captain America’s nemesis, the Red Skull, has been cast. Hugo Weaving, best known for playing Agent Smith in the Matrix Trilogy, will be playing the literal red headed Nazi in the upcoming film. (via Superhero Hype)

Heat Vision is reporting that Marvel’s choice for Captain America is Chris Evans. Evans is no stranger to the comic book film, he’s played the Human Torch in the recent Fantastic Four franchise, Casey Jones in TMNT, Lucas Lee in the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and Jake Jensen in the Losers, all of which are based on comics. Evens has yet to accept to the offer of the role.

The first poster for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World has been revealed and, needless to say, its epic.

COMIC BOOK NEWS

Marvel’s next foray into motion comics will be Iron Man Extreme. This new motion comic is thought to be an adaptation of the Extremis story line from 2005, which served as basis for the 2008 film. (via Comic Book Resources)
