Spidey’s new director, No Green for Supes, Ma Kent, and Fox Torches some Wood in today’s geek news.


Marc Webb has been hired by Columbia and Sony to direct the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. (via Superhero Hype)

In an interview with, Joe Johnston, director of Jurassic Park 3 and the upcoming Wolfman, revealed that there will be Jurassic Park 4 will be made and will be the start of a new trilogy.

Director Matin Campbell told MTV Splash Page that the Superman cameo in Green Lantern has been cut from the film.


Annette O’Toole and husband, Michael McKean, are returning to Smallville for episode 21 of the current season. O’Toole was a series regular on the show for six years as Martha Kent and Michael McKean guest starred in the fifth episode of season 3, entitled Perry, as Perry White, the future Editor-in-Cheif of the Daily Planet. Summit Entertainment is developing a TV show based on Push, the Sci-Fi movie that came out about a year ago about people with psychic powers.The script for the pilot is being written by David Hayter, who wrote the first two X-Men, Watchmen, and provides the voice of Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid video game series. Fox is developing an American verision of the Doctor Who spin-off, Torchwood. Russell Davies, current executive producer of Doctor Who, is writing the script for the pilot as well as producing the new series with Julie Gardner, former head of drama of BBC Wales, and Jane Tranter, VP programming and production at BBC Worldwide. TV by the Numbers is reporting that Joss Whedon may do his next TV show for FX.
