Because Fox won’t give up on the franchise, a second Fantastic Four reboot is now being scripted by Michael Green, who is a co-executive producer on Heroes and recently wrote the script for the upcoming Green Lantern adaptation, and will be produced by Akiva Goldsman, who has previously written and produced “I Am Legend” and “Lost in Space” and wrote “Batman Forever” and “Batman and Robin.” One out of four isn’t that bad is it? TV Guide talked to Brian Peterson, Kelly Sounders, and Geoff Johns about the many DC Comics characters coming to “Smallville” this season. Brian and Kelly, the showrunners of “Smallville,” revealed that Speedy, Green Arrows sidekick, is coming to “Smallville” as Mia Dearden, the second character to use the moniker in the comics. And like in the comics she will be a former child prostitute who is HIV positive (fun fun). They also confirmed that the Wonder Twins will in fact be in this season of “Smallville” and we may in fact see Gleek, their blue monkey. And also they are trying to bring Michael McKean, who played Perry White back in the Season 3 episode Perry, back on the show. and finally, Geoff Johns kept quiet on which Justice Society members would be appearing in the Justice Society episode, entitled Society, but he did say that Jay Garrick, the original Flash, and Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, would not appear and gave this short description of the episode:

“It’s going to be about them coming out of retirement to give these screwed up guys of the next generation a needed smack-down.”
