Batman 3, Smallville’s suit, sometimes Miracleman miracles happen and more in today’s geek news.


Gary Oldman revealed at the Book of Eli panel at Comic Con that the next Batman movie is apparently going to start filming next year. (via Superhero Hype)


Last night Ain’t It Cool News got a rumor that said the Smallville version of Superman’s suit was being shown secretly at Comic Con and would be seen in the season premiere, which the tipster called “Superman” when the title for the premiere is “Savior”, and that Tom Welling was flying to San Diego for Sunday’s Smallville panel to show off the suit. And then earlier today, The CW sent a message to Superhero Hype, saying that Tom Welling, now a co-executive producer for the show, will be attending Comic Con. Is the suit real? I really don’t want to wait until Sunday.

At the Battlestar Galactica panel at Comic Con, Edward james Olmos, who played Bill Adama in the series, siad that The Plan will not be the last Battlestar Galactica TV movie. (via io9)


In what may be the most surprising news to come out of San Diego yet, Marvel has aquired the rights to Marvelman ( AKA Miricleman) and will be publishing the . Joss Whedon announced during the Dollhouse panel at Comic Con, that the comic about Sheperd Book’s, the priest from Firefly and Serenity, past and Dr. Horrible comics are coming from Dark Horse. (via io9)

UPDATE: It was announced at San Diego Comic Con that another member of the Hulk family will be turning red. Yes, that’s right a Red She-Hulk is coming. (via Full Body Transplant)
