WB gets it together, 1000 year old DVD’s, and Aldrin’s punch in today’s geek news.

Apperently, last fall Warner Bros. hired Geoff Johns, current writer of Green Lantern, Grant Morrison, current writer of Batman and Robin, and Marv Wolfman, who is famous for his run on Teen Titans in the 1980’s, to help develope films based on a variety of DC Comics characters. The Hollywood Reporter article states the projects in development currently are The Flash (Geoff Johns co-wrote a draft of the script and will be producing the film), Aquaman (to be produce by Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way), two Green Arrow movies (an origin story and the long in development Supermax), Bizarro Superman (to be written by Robert Gordon and David Howard, writers of Galaxy Quest), a Shazam film ( the same on that John August, who wrote the script, said was dead back in January on his blog), a sequel to Constantine (which was based on the DC Comics series Hellblazer), and an Adam Strange movie.

We now have DVD’s that can last up to 1000 years. (via Slashdot)

Today is the 40th anniversary of the day Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon. It was a historic day that proved we can do anything we wanted to. Oh and if a person who believes the moon landing was faked, tell that to Buzz Aldrin.
