Microsoft is disgusting, Midway is going the way of the dinosaur, Green Hornet has been pushed back, Resident Evil 4 is coming, and more in today’s geek news.


Sony has pushed the release date of the Green Hornet back two weeks to July 9, 2010. (via ERC BoxOffice)

Bill Nighy has been cast as an unknown character in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. (via IESB)

Green Lantern: First Flight will premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, on Thursday, July 23, in Ballroom 20 at 8:00 pm. (via Comic Book Resources)

A fourth Resident Evil film is happening. Rumored to be titled,Resident Evil: Afterlife, is supposed to be coming out on September 17, 2010, but I wouldn’t bet on it as they have yet to start filming. (via Shock Till You Drop)

The first poster for Surrogates has been released.


Midway is closing up shop in two months, according to Joystiq. Some of Midway’s studios were recently bought by Warner Bros., the remaining studios have two months before closure unless someone purchases them.


Microsoft has a new commercial that may in fact be worse than those Seinfeld ones from last year. The commercial features Dean Cain (Superman from Lois and Clark) and is below, but beware it is very disgusting.
