Lucifer has been cast, ABC is “Defying Gravity”, last.fm on the 360, and more in today’s geek news.

MOVIE NEWS

In some very odd news, Lake Placid 3 is happening and will now feature small crocodiles as well as huge ones. (via io9)

TELEVISION NEWS

ABC has picked up Defying Gravity, a sci-fi show about eight Astronauts who are on a six year journey through the solar system and stars Ron Livingston (Peter Gibbons from Office Space), for 13 episodes. (via The Hollywood Reporter)

In a bit of news that I am shocked that I missed, Mark Pellegrino has been cast as Lucifer for the fifth and most likely final season of Supernatural. (via Entertainment Weekly)

And in other Supernatural news, Rachael Miner has been cast as Meg, the big bad from the first season. (via TV Guide)

VIDEO GAME NEWS

The details of  last.fm on the X-Box 360 have been released. Silver Members will be able to listen to 3 hours of ad supported music a month. Gold Members can listen to an unlimited amount of ad supported music a month, to be able to listen to music without ads you must be a member of last.fm. (via Joystiq)

COMIC BOOK NEWS

io9 interviewed Grant Morrison about his current run on Batman and Robin.
