TELEVISION NEWS

VIDEO GAME NEWS

At the Microsoft Press Conference today at E3 quite a few things happened, so like I did back in September, I’m going to run down the big announcments:

  • Halo 3: ODST will be released on September 22. (via Joystiq)
  • A new Halo game, titled Halo:Reach was announced and a trailer was released.

  • The multi-player beta for Halo: Reach will be available to those who purchase Halo 3: ODST in September. (via Joystiq)
  • Microsoft unveiled Project Natal, a camera for the X-Box 360 that will allow motion control. The camera will also automattically log you into X-Box Live, move around the dashboard, and will allow your avatar to mimic what you do. (via Joystiq)
  • Last.fm, the CBS Interactive music site, will be coming to X-Box Live members sometime this year. (via Joystiq)
  • Twitter and Facebook are also coming to X-Box Live this Fall. (via Joystiq)
  • The X-Box Live Video Marketplace is going to be relaunched this fall as the Zune Video Marketplace. (via Joystiq)
  • Left 4 Dead 2 was announced and is coming out November 17 exclusivly for the PC and X-Box 360. (via Joystiq)
  • Crackdown 2 (via Joystiq), Forza Motorsport 3 (via Joystiq), and Splinter Cell Conviction (via Joystiq) were all announced for the X-Box 360.
